Message from the CEO
Jeroen Vincent

CEO

Since our inception in 2017, we have achieved exceptional growth and progress, as we drive the circular economy for a sustainable society in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The rapid rise in population and the flourishing manufacturing industry have led to a robust increase in all types of wastes, resulting in environmental challenges and rising demands for proper waste management practices and safe disposal methods.

The total volume of waste generated in the Kingdom stands at approximately 130 million tons per annum, with less than 1% of Municipal Solid Waste and less than 22% of Industrial Hazardous Waste being recycled.

To preserve our natural resources and ensure a sustainable future in line with the Vision 2030, SIRC will drive the circular economy for the Kingdom and establish state-of-the-art recycling projects for all types of waste.

We strive to achieve ambitious recycling targets, including 81% of the total Municipal Solid Waste by 2035 in order to set a regional and global benchmark.

Our focus is to develop and operate innovative projects that increase landfill diversion rates, boost recycling and recovery of raw materials, and upgrade the waste management sector, while complying with the highest environmental standards.

As we take great strides to become the national waste management champion, we make sure to adopt the best integrated waste management solutions that contribute to the government’s strategic goal of protecting the environment by reducing, reusing, and recycling waste.

On behalf of SIRC, I invite you to explore our website to learn more about our initiatives, projects, and plans that will pave the way for a sustainable circular economy model and a better future for the Kingdom.
