Message from the CEO
Jeroen Vincent

Welcome and thank you for visiting the Saudi Investment Recycling Company (SIRC) website.

Since our inception in 2017, we have achieved exceptional growth and progress, as we drive the circular economy for a sustainable society in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The rapid rise in population and flourishing manufacturing industry has led to a robust increase in all types of wastes, but is boosting the development of the waste management industry that demands the safe and timely collection of municipal solid and hazardous wastes and their disposal in environmentally-friendly ways.

The total waste generated in the Kingdom stands at approximately 130 million tons per annum while the per capita waste generation is at 1.39 kilogram per person per day. However, less than 1% of municipal solid waste and 22% of industrial hazardous waste is recycled.

SIRC is the key driver of the circular economy and strives to achieve an overall recycling target of the 81% to set a regional and global benchmark by developing and operating projects to increase landfill diversion rates and boost recycling.

We constantly seek to align our core objectives in line with the Saudi Vision 2030 by working to implement sustainable and integrated waste management systems.

As we take great strides to become the national waste management champion, SIRC ensures to comply with the highest international waste management standards and puts in efforts into institutionalizing state-of-the-art waste management systems in order to ensure a sustainable future.

SIRC has also adopted the best waste management practices through the implementation of strategies that contribute to the government’s strategic goal of sustaining the environment by reducing, reusing and recycling waste.

On behalf of SIRC, I invite you to explore our website to learn more about our initiatives, processes, and existing and upcoming projects that are aimed at contributing to a more sustainable economy and society.
